Global ProTankless Supply would like to announce that Bosch Thermotechnolgy has discontinued the Bosch Hydronic Air Handler Systems: AHU70 and AHU50. These systems were designed to be used in conjunction with the Bosch gas tankless water heaters.  The Bosch Hydronic Air Handler's were designed to replace furnaces with a ducted system, eliminating the need for a gas pipe, venting, and fresh air in-take required for furnaces.

CZM100 Zoning module for Bosch Greenstar Boilers Now Discontinued

Global Protankless Supply would like to announce that Bosch Thermotechnology is no longer supplying the CZM100 Zoning module 7738110112 for Bosch Greenstar Boilers.  The CZM100 is now discontinued due to the factory where these are made was in the Ukraine.

If you are looking for third party zone manager for the Bosch Greenstar boilers any brand third party control works. Taco, Honeywell, Tekmar, any brand that manages a boiler that has “dry contacts”. All condensing boilers in the USA have two “dry contact” terminals, so the connection is no different than anything else (Navien, Lochivar, NTI, all brands).

For multiple third party zone managers being used this would depend on the third party controllers. Some brands have 3, 5, 6, or more zone controls in a single box. Some will daisy-chain or cascade control boxes. That is up to that control manufacturer. We only need to get a signal on our terminals “TT” to energize or de-energize the boiler.

Bosch Greenstar Wall-Hung & Floor Standing 57 Boiler Discontinued

Global Protankless Supply would like to announce that Bosch Thermotechnology has just discontinued the Bosch Greenstar Wall-Hung & Floor Standing 57 Straight Boiler.  There was not much demand for such a low BTU boiler but Bosch is still making the Bosch Greenstar 79, 100, 131 and 151 boilers.  These boilers come in either Wall-Hung or Floor standing.  The Bosch Greenstar 79 boiler is designed for heating applications only.  The Bosch Greenstar boilers 100, 131 and 151 are designed for heating and also come as a combi unit for heating and DHW.

Phase-out of Bosch SSB Residential platform boilers SSB 85, 120 & 160

Global Protankless Supply would like to announce that Bosch Thermotechnology has discontinued the full line of Stainless Steel boilers.  The models that have been discontinued are the SSB 85, SSB 120 and the SSB 160.  These boilers are replaced with the Bosch Greenstar Floor-Standing boilers.

Contractors who are looking to purchase an SSB Residential model should use the chart below to reference which Greenstar boiler model is the most suitable alternative. The primary difference is the heat exchanger material, which is stainless steel for the SSB and cast aluminum for the Greenstar, as well as minor variations in the BTU inputs.

New Bosch Greenstar Wall-Hung Boiler Manifold Now Available

Global Pro Tankless Supply is pleased to announce Bosch Thermotechnology is now carrying the new Bosch Greenstar Boiler Manifold #7738007138.  The Bosch quick connect manifold is designed for all Bosch Greenstar Wall-Hung boilers.  The Bosch manifold can be used for both Greenstar Wall Hung straight boilers and also Greenstar Wall-Hung combination boilers.  This boiler manifold connector will not work on the Bosch Greenstar Floor-Standing boilers.  If using on the Bosch Greenstar combination boiler you will want to make sure the quick manifold connector is installed as to not interfere with the DHW connections.  The quick connect manifold is easy to install and saves time.  Below are some of the specifications for the boiler manifold.

Bosch FW200 Weather Compensating Control Compatibility

The Bosch FW200 Weather Compensating Control is "not" compatible with the Bosch CZM100  zone manager, Bosch CRC100 and CRC200 room controllers.  The Bosch CZM100 zone manager, CRC100 and CRC200 room controllers are BUS driven controllers and the FW200 is not.  All of the Bosch Greenstar gas-fired boilers come with the CRC200 Comfort room controller and the CRC200 has an indoor reset that adjusts the unit to the temperature inside the home and works very well.  The CRC100 and the CRC200 room controllers can both be used in conjunction with the Bosch CZM zone manager.

The only time someone would want to use the Bosch FW200 Weather Compensating Control is if they only have 1 zone and do not want to use the Bosch CRC200 that comes with the boiler.  The Bosch FW200 "will" work in conjunction with other zone managers manufactured by any other brand except for Bosch.  Some of the zone managers that will work with the FW200 are companies like Taco, Grundfaus, etc. The FW200 has an outdoor reset for temperature control and the CRC200 room controller has an indoor reset.

Bosch Greenstar Combi 151P Boiler (ZWB42-3A)

Global Pro Tankless Supply is pleased to announce we are now carrying the new Bosch Greenstar Combi 151P boiler (ZWB42-3A).  This new combi boiler is identical to the Greenstar Combi 151 boiler (ZWB42-3) except with the CRC200 thermostat, DHW tank sensor, supply sensor, expansion tank and twin pipe vent adapter removed.  These combi boilers provide both space heating and domestic hot water, while maintaining AFUE efficiencies of 95.0%.

All Greenstar Combi boilers are equipped with a high-strength stainless steel secondary exchanger and burner with double passage - ensuring consistent temperature output based on demand. The DHW hot water temperature control limit of 140°F helps prevent scale build-up within the heat exchanger.

Other features with this new boiler include a new electrical connection with a pre-wired 120V main power cable and plug. A new LP conversion kit which is easier to field convert the boiler.  All Bosch Greenstar boilers come with a Lifetime Limited warranty on the heat exchanger and a 5 year warranty on parts and labor.

Bosch Greenstar Boiler LP Conversion Kit and Process Has Changed

Global Pro Tankless Supply would like to inform you that the LP conversion kit and conversion process has changed on all Bosch Greenstar boilers, including Greenstar Floor, Wall, Combi and Straight-heat boilers. This change was made to simplify the LP conversion process and to reduce the chances of poor combustion levels in the boilers.

This new kit includes a fixed orifice, which does not require the setting of the gas-air ratio. A combustion analyzer is still recommended to ensure that proper CO2 and CO levels are achieved during installation. Additional information can be found in the Greenstar Gas Type Conversion Instructions (Document # 6720869700).  The new LP conversion kit utilizes the existing NG and LP code plugs and is completely backwards compatible with all previously sold Greenstar boilers.

LP conversion kit part numbers remains the same, because the product is 100% backwards compatible.

The existing stock of the old LP conversion kitswill be re-worked to include the new fixed orifice.

Location of Serial Number on Bosch Greenstar Gas-Fired Boilers

The information below is to familiarize people with the location of the serial number on their Bosch Gas-Fired Greenstar Boiler.  The serial number will be needed for registering the unit with Bosch so that the customer gets a full warranty.  The serial number is located in 2 places on the Greenstar boiler itself.  Please see the images below for location of the serial number.
