The Bosch ProTankless 425 HN L (Liquid Propane) incorporates an evolutionary hydro-power ignition system which allows this tankless water heater to work without a standing pilot, grid connection or battery! A small turbine inside the water heater uses the energy from the flowing water to ignite the burner. The modulating gas valve then maintains a constant temperature at varying flow rates. This innovative technology, patented by Bosch, makes this an ideal product for installations without access to electricity or regions prone to inclement weather and power outages.

This 117,000 BTU/hr maximum input heater has enough power for running a shower and a sink simultaneously.  

This Bosch Pro Tankless water heater can be used as a replacement for any of the Bosch propane tankless water heaters that used the HydroGenerator, including the Bosch AquaStar 125HX LP, Bosch AquaStar 1600H LP and the Bosch Therm 520 HN L. It can also be used as a replacement for any of the Bosch propane tankless water heaters that had a standing pilot light, including the Bosch AquaStar 125B LP, Bosch AquaStar 1600P LP and the Bosch Therm 520 PN L.

Bosch Greenstar Wall-Hung & Floor Standing 57 Boiler Discontinued

Global Protankless Supply would like to announce that Bosch Thermotechnology has just discontinued the Bosch Greenstar Wall-Hung & Floor Standing 57 Straight Boiler.  There was not much demand for such a low BTU boiler but Bosch is still making the Bosch Greenstar 79, 100, 131 and 151 boilers.  These boilers come in either Wall-Hung or Floor standing.  The Bosch Greenstar 79 boiler is designed for heating applications only.  The Bosch Greenstar boilers 100, 131 and 151 are designed for heating and also come as a combi unit for heating and DHW.

Bosch Remote Wired Control with WiFi #7736504945

Global Protankless Supply now carries the new Bosch Remote Wired Control with WiFi #7736504945.  The remote is designed to be wired to the Bosch Greentherm units (see compatible units below) and also has the WiFi feature included.  The Bosch Remote comes with the controller, mounting screws, connection cable, instructions and label for the unit.  The Bosch Wired Remote has many features such as diagnostics and all the regular features that are on the unit display itself except for the WiFi.  You will need the Bosch Wired Remote Controller to access WiFi capability.  

The Bosch wired remote controller with WiFi is compatible with the Bosch Greentherm units:  T9900i SE 199, T9800SE 160, T9800SE 199, T9800SEO 160, T9800SEO 199, T9900SE 160 and T9900SE 199

Negative Pressure on Bosch Gas Sealed Combustion Tankless Water Heaters

 All of the new and some of the older Bosch gas tankless water heaters are all sealed combustion units.  This means the unit is sealed in the combustion chamber and thus the unit will have a twin pipe system for the exhaust and intake air.  The sealed combustion creates a positive pressure and keeps any cold air from entering and causing damage to the heater.  The sealed combustion units are also sealed and require in most situations that the intake air be taken from outside the home so as to not be shortened by inadequate combustion air.  The Bosch sealed combustion units must "NEVER" be operated with the front cover off the unit as this will create a negative pressure and will allow cold air being drawn down the exhaust pipe and could cause major damage and freezing in some areas to the heat exchanger.

Below is an image of a Bosch sealed combustion unit being vented with a twin pipe system horizontally out the sidewall.  This would be the same for a vertical installation through the roof.  When terminating through the sidewall or through the roof of a home always remember to keep at least 3' apart between the intake air vent and the exhaust air vent so there will be no cross contamination.
