Bosch Buderus SSB85/120/160 Stainless Steel Condensing Boilers

Global Protankless Supply is pleased to announce we are now stocking and selling the commercial Bosch Buderus stainless steel condensing boilers.  There are 3 different BTU size boilers for most heating applications, SSB85, SSB120 and the SSB160.  The commercial boilers range from BTU sizes of 85,000, 120,000 and 160,000 BTU's.  Bosch Buderus Stainless Steel Boilers referred to as SSB are condensing hot water boiler(s), suitable for direct venting with natural gas. The SSB(s) shall be field convertible to LP.

Boiler(s) shall utilize a plasma welded 316L single tube stainless steel heat exchanger and burner tube with high quality condensing heating surfaces and patented laser perforated design to diffuse flames consistently throughout the length of the burner tube. Boiler(s) shall be constructed, tested and labeled in accordance with ASME Section IV and shall bear the ASME stamp. Boilers shall be CSA approved for USA and Canada and have an applicable Canadian Registration Number.

Boiler(s) shall be equipped with an integrated controller that shall monitor and control all combustion process functions, control of the boiler water temperature to a value required by the connected components and shall display current water temperatures or fault conditions with changes in operation status. Boiler(s) are designed for large residential, commercial and light industrial applications. The SSB(s) have an energy efficiency of 96%.

2015 NAECA Standards for Gas & Electric Residential Tankless Water Heaters

The U.S. Department of Energy has increased the energy factor requirements for residential water heaters effective April 16th, 2015 through the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act (NAECA). This update of regulations will affect all manufacturers selling residential water heaters in the U.S. Residential water heaters include storage type units that store heated water in an insulated tank and instantaneous type units that heat water on demand.

These standards do not apply to electric water heaters under 20 gallons or instantaneous electric water heaters 2 gallons and above.

New Bosch Hydronic Air Handler

Global ProTankless Supply is pleased to announce that we are now selling the new Bosch Hydronic Air Handler Systems: AHU70 and AHU50. These systems are designed to be used in conjunction with the Bosch Greentherm C1050ES & C950ES units.  The new Bosch Hydronic Air Handler can replace furnaces with a ducted system, eliminating the need for a gas pipe, venting, and fresh air in-take required for furnaces.

The new Bosch air handler has an integrated control board that connects to the home’s thermostat. When the thermostat calls for heat, the air handler will turn on the integrated pump immediately and turn on the fan 30 seconds later to allow the heat exchanger to preheat. When the thermostat calls for cooling, the control board will only activate the blower.

The air handler connects seamlessly with tankless water heaters, transferring the highly efficient water heater’s hot water through a hydronic heating coil within the air handler. As the hot water circulates through the coil, warm air is sent through the residential duct system as the cool water by-product recirculates to the tankless unit to be reheated and reused.

The Bosch hydronic air handler is available in two models, AHU 50 and AHU 70, which can be sized with most CFM and BTU output ratings to suit a range of home sizes.

The Bosch Hydronic Air Handler is designed to work efficiently with the ENERGY STAR rated Bosch Greentherm tankless water heater to provide a complete solution for home heat and domestic hot water.

The hydronic air handler can also be used with A/C systems - a compatible A/C coil can be placed on top of the hydronic air handler and the blower inside of the hydronic air handler turns ON when the thermostat calls for cooling.

Bosch Greenstar Wall-Hung Boilers Now Come With CRC200 Comfort Room Controller

All of the Bosch Greenstar Wall-Hung boilers now come with the CRC200 Comfort Room Controller.  The Wall-Hung Greenstar boilers used to come with the FW200 Weather Compensating Controller but that is now sold as an accessory. The Bosch Greenstar Floor-Standing boilers do not come with a thermostat.

The CRC200 is a programmable controller with an integrated temperature sensor and can be used as a boiler control or in conjunction with the CZM100 Comfort Zone Manager as a room controller. It comes with back light and features a time program for heating and indirect hot water tank.

The user interface is used to control a heating zone and a Domestic Hot Water (DHW) tank charging circuit for water heating directly at the heat source. The user interface displays information about the heat source and heating system and is used to change the settings.

A maximum of 8 heating zones is permitted when connected to several CZM100 Comfort Zone Managers. Water heating may be controlled with or without time program. Installation options: On the wall with a BUS connection to a heat source or CZM100 module with an EMS-BUS Interface (Energy Management System).

Z-Flex Z-DENS Polypropylene Rigged & Flexible Venting Material

(194°F). PP is easily 100% recyclable where PVC & CPVC is not due to its chemical composition and various additives. Bosch Greenstar FW200 Weather Compensation Boiler Control

Global Pro Tankless Supply carries the Greenstar FW200 Weather Compensation Boiler Control. The FW200 digital thermostat and outdoor reset boiler control acts as the nerve center of a home's heating system. Programmable up to six switching times throughout the day, this interface can be installed within the appliance or be wall mounted in any location throughout the home. Providing instant feedback to the end-user along with the built-in diagnostic effortlessly pinpoints operational issues.

This is an outdoor reset control. It increases or decreases the output of your heating system depending on the outdoor temperature. The controls can be installed on the boiler or mounted directly on the wall in the living area. If it is in the room, it can also be used to record the room temperature for optimizing comfort.

The FW200 is included with the Greenstar Wall Hung (WH) Boilers and is optional on the Greenstar Floor Standing (FS) models.

The Bosch 450 ESR NG is not approved or designed for closed loop heating applications.  The ESR unit is not a tankless heater as they have no flow switch to respond to flow.  Instead it’s a recirculating water heater designed for tank loading applications.  When an AquaStat (not included) hooked up to a tank tells the ESR that water needs to be brought back up to temperature, the ESR will tell a circulator (not included) to turn on to create flow through the heater to reheat the water in the tank.   Please refer to the installation and applications manual.

The Bosch 450 ESR recirculating heater is a 120K BTU unit and can deliver 4.5 GPM at a 45 degree rise.  Efficiency is 81%

The temperature control range can be set anywhere from 115°F (45°C) - 190°F (90°C)

Determining the Correct Size Bosch Whole House Electric Tankless Water Heater

Using Bosch Gas Tankless Water Heaters For Breweries & Distilleries

Did you know that it takes many gallons of hot water to make nice cold beer and this is why many breweries around the United States are starting to integrate gas tankless water heaters into their system. The Bosch gas tankless water heater keeps a more stable temperature and delivers endless gallons of hot water.

There are many different Bosch Gas tankless water heaters to choose from but the largest is the Bosch Therm C1210ESC commercial unit and comes in either Natural Gas (NG) or Liquid Propane Gas (LP).  The Bosch C1210ESC has a max temperature of 180 degrees and is great for brewing or cleaning the storage tanks.  The Bosch Greentherm C1050ES is also another great unit for a Brewery. The Bosch Greentherm C1050ES can reach temperatures up to 140 degrees F but after adding the high temperature kit the unit can also go up to 180 degrees F.  Depending on the size of the Brewery and the amount of hot water needed at one given time the Bosch gas tankless water heaters can be cascaded together to deliver more gallons per minute (gpm).  The Bosch Greentherm C1050ES can be cascaded with up to 24 units and deliver up to 290 GPM of hot water.

Bosch Gas Tankless Water Heaters and Tank Loading Applications

Global Pro Tankless Supply is always trying to make it easier to figure out the right Bosch tankless water heater that is designed for the right application.  A tank load system, because of the added storage, can provide a high peak flow with fewer tankless units and lower installed cost. This will cover the basics for a tank loading application that will enable the user to have more domestic hot water and can also be set up for heating applications.  The Bosch gas tankless models such as the C1210ESC/C1210ES/C1050ES/C950ES/940ES and 830ES are all capable and designed to work with a tank loading applications.  Tank loading can be done using a standard tank heater as a storage tank or an indirect tank such as the Bosch SST Indirect Storage Tanks.

The CRC100 Comfort Room Control can be used for a heating system with one heating zone. This method of operation is used when the CRC100 is connected directly to the heat source. This will modulate the percentage of power output the heat source is supplying. The CRC100 can be used for one heating zone with a CZM100. A maximum of 8 heating zones is permitted when connected to several CZM100 Comfort Zone Managers. The CRC100 can be used as a controller for heat sources with an external indirect tank and circulator pump, but the DHW maximum temperature and priority settings are made at the heat source.
